Space

We offer alcove, corner, and quadrant showers as well as the more standard square and rectangular models; if you prefer to soak in the tub but are worried about space, our smaller upright walk-in baths could be an ideal solution. Of course, hand-held showers can be attached to all our walk-in baths to form a bath-shower combo unit.
Those who opt for walk-in showers should make sure there is sufficient space for the user and any assistance that may be required; if you don’t have much space to work with, a wet room may be the best option.
Access
Personal safety and ease of access is the number one concern when it comes to designing your accessible bathroom. Wheelchair users and those who require entirely step-free access may want to opt for our Stimulate wet room – since our walk-in baths require a small step up. Our walk-in showers typically have a 26mm high tray, but this can be sunk for level access.
Wheelchair users may also want to consider a toilet raised to the level of the wheelchair – allowing for easier movement between the two seats, as well as palm-operated or sensor flushing mechanisms.
Support
Strategically placed grab rails take much of the danger and difficulty out of the bathing process – and are a valuable solution for any customers with mobility issues.
Grab rails around the toilet allow for greater ease of access and can be particularly helpful for wheelchair users who have to transfer between seats.
Likewise, rails can be placed on either side of the basin to ensure a safe experience for those standing to wash hands or brush teeth and alongside our walk-in baths and showers to help with the small step up. In the case of our Stimulate wet rooms, we can also place grab rails directly under the shower.
Stability
At Batheability, your safety is our biggest concern, so all our walk-in showers and wet rooms are fitted with slip-resistant flooring.
Our baths also feature slip-resistant recessed footwells, easing the entry and exit process.
For any customers particularly concerned about slips and falls, safety flooring can be installed throughout all our bathrooms.
Seating
We understand that standing for long periods can be uncomfortable for customers with mobility issues: our range of seating solutions make sure you can wash in comfort.
Lightweight and durable foldable seats or benches – which can be easily moved when not required – can be added to all our walk-in showers and wet rooms, while all of our baths feature motorized rising contoured seats, which can be heated to reduce the risk of chilling during the draining process.
